"Hi, my name is Lior
Beser and I would personally like to welcome you as your Course Director to
Subway Watersports in Roatan Island, Honduras.
I have used my 17 years of experience in the diving industry
to design very exciting and up-to-date GoPro programs for you, which are
professional and at the same time guarantee you a lot of fun.
I had my first
breath under water at the age of 4 when my father, a commercial diver, took
me for my first bubbles in the ocean. I have been in the water ever since.
As soon as I got the chance to do my Open Water certification, I completed
my course at the age of 15 (that was the minimum age in 1990) in the cold
and muddy waters of Belgium and by the time I turned 18 in 1993 I was
already working as a Dive Master.
My passion for
diving never ceased, so that I became an instructor a year later. I soon
realized that this was the perfect job to travel whilst working and meeting
amazing people from all over the world, while at the same time sampling
different cultures and countries!
I started my
professional diving career working in Eilat, Israel, where I am originally
from. There, I had the amazing opportunity to introduce people to dolphins
in their natural habitat. I then moved on to guide divers through the Sinai
to the Red Sea in Egypt. Personal
circumstances made me do a drastic move to the UK, where I also worked as an
instructor, teaching in quarries as well as in the sea, and gaining a
profound knowledge of the marine life, specifically sharks, working along
side marine biologists in the most renown Aquarium in England.
My adventures also took me to work in Spain, France, Australia, Indonesia,
Malaysia and finally Koh Tao, Thailand, where I spent 5 years training Dive
Masters and assisting IDC’s working towards my goal to become a PADI Course
Director. In 2007 I finally reached my
target and got invited to the PADI Headquarters in California to attend the
PADI Course Director training course.
For the last two
years I have been conducting IDC’s in Mexico, with the highest passing rate
in the Riviera Maya, before realizing that the laid-back island life-style
was calling me again and I moved to Subway Watersports in Roatan Island.
Along the way I have
completed the instructor training at CMAS, SSI and Barakuda, certifying over
1500 students and accumulated over 17000 dives. However I strongly believe
in the PADI educational system, this is the reason why today I solely teach
PADI courses.
I am honored to say
that my passion for diving is said to be contagious and I don’t just dive
for a living, but I am living for the diving.
I hope to be able to share this with you.
The staff at Subway Watersports and I invite you for your complete
professional diving career.
Come and have some
serious fun with us!!"
