I am
Everette Ingram, your PADI Silver Course Director at Subway Watersports in
Roatan, Honduras. I look forward to you joining us in your professional
training and education.
Originally, I am from Chattanooga, Tennessee. I began diving in 1993 when a
fraternity brother of mine introduced me to the sport. I had always enjoyed
camping and other water sports, but it was truly transforming to encounter
the underwater world.
Travel and exploration have been a part of my life from an early age.
Already, I have been in 65 countries and hope one day to visit them all.
Internationally, I have lived and worked in Israel, Jordan, and South
Africa. As a result of my travels, I have had the privilege of being able to
dive throughout the Caribbean, the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, South Pacific, and
South Atlantic Oceans. My first visit to Roatan was in 2004.
For the last decade, I have been working in the Middle East. The Red Sea has
been a great place to dive and to teach students with the ability to dive
year round. It has given me the opportunity to train so many students from
their Open Water certification up to Master Scuba Diver and various
instructor levels. In 2006 and 2007, I was recognized by PADI International
in the Instructor category for the Specialty of the Month and the Master
Scuba Diver Challenge competitions.
I have had the benefit of working in a team along side another Course
Director sharing in the teaching and staffing of IDCs and providing career
development within the region. Together, we were able to pioneer tec diving
in Jordan and to do the first trimix dive in the country.
It has been rare to see me in the water when I have not had a student at my
side. But when I get an opportunity to dive, I enjoy wreck diving,
exploration of new dive sites, and technical diving. In addition to over 20
Specialty Instructor Trainer ratings, I am a DSAT Instructor Trainer for Gas
Blending, Tec Deep and Tec Trimix Diver courses.
Over the years, I have had many candidates return to me for additional
courses and their next step as a PADI professional. All 100% of the IDC
candidates have successfully passed their Instructor Exam and gone on to
share the adventure with others.
